This stunning antique silver 'fine' jewellery piece has been created using antique Victorian and vintage silver elements.
The 'trophy piece' being this lovely vintage 'articulated' winged butterfly/bug piece (formerly a brooch), set with central amethyst and twinkling marcasite stones. The butterfly has a gorgeous aged patina, that only time can provide and to the reverse side there are tiny hinges that allow a slight movement (articulation) to the wings.
Keeping the butterfly company are 2 chain drops, from which hang an antique fancy silver 'barley twist' with ball end 'T bar' and an antique Albertina tassel charm.
I have coupled this lovely piece with a detailed and chunky double link Victorian locket chain. The necklace fastens with an Albert swivel, centrally to the front.
A beautiful, bolt and eclectic piece, designed to be worn quite short. Please check measurements below to ensure they suit. (Neck chain can be lengthend upon request).
Wear it with everything!
