This beautiful versatile ethereal cool and unique silver 'fine' jewellery piece has been created using a combination of various antique and vintage silver chains, including, Albertina watch chain, locket chains and a section of chunky vintage belcher link chain.
An added advantage of this necklace is that I have enabled it to be worn at 2 different lengths. Dependant on your mood, neckline or outfit. The excess chain, when worn at the shorter length option dangles prettily down your back, adding additional interest!
The gorgeous antique charms and curios are desirable and highly collectible, with the crown in glory being a large antique Victorian bee, embellished with 'paste' (crystal) stones (previously a brooch) The bee; interestingly has always been designed to be a multi functional piece of jewellery; as whilst working on it I noticed a facility on the reverse, which would have enabled a pin (either hair or hat pin), to have been slotted into the brooch at the back, allowing it to be worn in your hat or your hair. I am finding such pieces to be more and more difficult to source.
Accompanying the bee are 2 chain drops from which hang a pretty Albertina tassel, very old and worn coin and a lovely fancy barley twist and ball detail T bar.
A true collectible, not to mention, conversational forever heirloom jewellery piece.
Wear with everything! Wear with attitude.
Overall maximum length when worn: 33 inches
Overall length when worn on the shorter ring: 26 inches
Actual neck section of chain can be fixed at: 17.5 inches and 24 inches
Longest Charm Drop: 4.5 inches
This is a quirky one-of-a-kind heirloom piece, bringing the wearer an item of jewellery as exclusive and individual as them. The perfect keepsake or gift to celebrate life's milestone occasions or just life!
