This beautiful antique 'fine' jewellery piece has been created using a large Victorian silver Anchor (formerly a brooch).

The anchor has excellent rope twist detailing, along with some pretty and nicely patinad engraving work.  This is a large size anchor - a lovely statement piece.

I have complimented the anchor with a lovely vintage silver nauticial link chain, which I thought suited the piece very well.  Both the anchor and the chain are hollow, thus achieving a nice chunky look without too much weight,  Win Win!

The original Albert swivel clasp fastens to the large ring of the anchor at the front.  An unusual and unique design.

On the reverse side there is a little 'scarring' from where the original pin and hinge has been removed.  This is often the case with brooch conversion pieces and does not spoil their beauty or enjoyment.

A classically cool forever heirloom piece.

Wear layered with any other of my longer necklaces.  Wear when you are feeling 'nauti'.

Approximate Measurements:

Necklace length: 16.5 inches
Anchor: 6.5cm x 3.5cm

This is a quirky one-of-a-kind heirloom piece, bringing the wearer an item of jewellery as exclusive and individual as them. The perfect keepsake or gift to celebrate life's milestone occasions or just life!
