'Psychedelic Turtle'

This beautiful silver (and gold gilt/vermeil in places) unique 'fine' jewellery piece has been created using a combination of antique, and vintage elements.  I have used an interesting fusion of  silver and silver with a light gold gilt (worn in places) watch chains.  The faded gold patina to the fancy link watch chain brings in nicely the rose gold detail on the heavily embellished with paste stones pendant piece.

These watch chains are interesting and collectable and perfectly set the stage for these wonderfully eclectic Victorian charms.

The necklace fastens centrally to the front by way of a new Albert swivel fastener.  At the back of neck there is an additional T bar fixture, which has the choice of 2 different rings to be passed through, thus giving the necklace the added versatility of being able to be worn at 2 different lengths.

I have provided a picture of me wearing the necklace set at both length setting (see measurements below).

Charms comprise:

  • Chunky Victorian Silver & Paste round pendant/charm, the piece is heavily embellished with closely claw set paste stones with a wonderful rose gold ascent detail, which provides a beautiful contrast which is echoed in patina and colour to the antique watch chain I have used, which has residual original gold gilt to it.
  • Sweet Victorian silver and paste set 'turtle' or 'tortoise' charm (formerly a brooch), which has 2 tiny red paste or garnet stones set for eyes.

Approximate Measurements:
Overall necklace length including charm drop:  24 inches (at max)

Neck Section: 18.25 inches - can also be worn at 16.5 inches

Drop: 3 inches

This is a quirky one-of-a-kind heirloom piece, bringing the wearer an item of jewellery as exclusive and individual as them. The perfect keepsake or gift to celebrate life's milestone occasions or just life!

  • Be Gentle with Me...........

Please treat your vintage necklace with the care and respect deserving of its age. Rub gently with a soft silver polishing cloth periodically to keep its vibrancy. Please do not bathe in your vintage jewellery. Avoid dropping on hard surfaces. Enjoy!
