This wonderful 'fine' jewellery piece has been created using an eclectic mix of various link style antique and vintage silver chains, with antique charms and vintage 'gilt metal' flexible snake curio.

The necklace fastens centrally to the front by way of an Albert swivel fastner, which fastens to a 9mm silver jump ring; from which there are 3 charm/chain drops.  Charms and curios include:

  • Antique Silver Paste Crescent Moon Charm (formerly a brooch).
  • Victoria Silver Threepence 3d, dated 1891 with elaborately engraved initials 'DE' (worn), on one side of the coin.
  • Vintage long gilt metal articulated snake curio with red paste eyes.

All in all, a one-of-a-kind, slinky and sexy piece to decorate your decollete area.

Lighter weight and easy to wear, cool and edgy forever heirloom piece.

The use of Snakes in Jewellery Making:

Jewellery featuring snakes has been worn and adored by many ancient and modern civilizations. ... As snakes shed their skin through sloughing, they are symbols of rebirth, transformation, immortality, and healing. The ouroboros is a symbol of eternity andcontinual renewal of life. Some believe that the serpent represents sexual desire.

Approximate Measurements:
Overall length of necklace when worn including drop: 27.5 inches

This is a quirky one-of-a-kind heirloom piece, bringing the wearer an item of jewellery as exclusive and individual as them. The perfect keepsake or gift to celebrate life's milestone occasions or just life!
