Man in the Moon'
 
This stunning silver 'fine' jewellery piece has been created using a fusion of antique Victorian and vintage silver elements.
 
The 'trophy piece' being this beautiful and quirky vintage 'Man in the Moon' charm in the most gorgeous irridescent greens, stamped 925 for sterling silver on the reserve side.  
 
I have coupled the Man in the Moon charm with a Victorian silver and paste crescent moon piece (previously a brooch).  Clever coupling has allowed the effect of the man in the moon to appear/float in the centre area of the Victorian silver paste crescent moon (a nice touch!). 
 
Also coupled with the charm cluster is a short chain length leading down to a Victorian fancy 'barley twist and ball end' design antique T bar which I sourced from an Albertina watch chain.   The T bar acts as the perfect finial and grounds the whole ensamble.  
 
As for the chains....... I have chosen an antique fancy Albertina watch chain with 3 strand detail; there being a  pretty textured orb/ball along its length and coupling the 3 strand chain detail.  I chose this chain as the orb/ball reminded me of the moon, thus tying in with the theme nicely.  The Albertina blends into a silver vintage belcher link chain, which picks up the 'high' spots on the silver Albertina, T bar and charms and along its length and opposite the 'orb' detail I have incorporated a ring from which I have coupled a vintage spaceman/astronaut charm (nice!)
 
The necklace fastens centrally to the front by way of the original Albertina watch chain swivel clip. 
 
A quirkily, cool and unique forever heirloom jewellery piece, which is out of this world!
