This beautiful 'fine' jewellery piece has been created using antique and vintage jewellery elements.
I have created this eclectically gorgeous necklace using a length of 9ct gold Victorian 'Guard' chain. The chain is smooth and fluid to the touch, each link being lightly faceted, allowing them to catch the light and gently twinkle. The chain has a delicious soft rosey gold patina that only antique jewellery affords. The chain fastens centrally to the front by way of the original 9ct gold Albert swivel fastener.
Coupled with the chain is a beautifully eclectic vintage bee piece (formerly a brooch). The bee is 14ct gold and has gorgeous engraved and etched detail to the wings, each wing is set with a small diamond (4 in total), which sparkle and catch the light from which reflects and bounces off the fasceted engraving. The thorax of the bee is a smooth rose gold bead, with the abdomen section being a beautiful cultured pearl. The eyes are set with 2 little rubies.
Keeping the bee piece company is a 3 inch chain drop leading to a Victorian fancy ball ended T bar, which was sourced from an Antique Albertina watch chain. Unusual and pretty the perfect companion to this wonderfully unique, rare and highly collectable Lisa de Bidaph Forever Heirloom Jewellery piece.
An eclectic collectors item (such pieces are becoming more and more difficult to source). Absolutely stunning when worn. Is sure to bee a much admired, conversational and envied piece.
Overall Length when worn: 23 inches
Neck Chain Length: 17.25 inches
Chain + Tassel Drop: 3 inches
Bee: 3cm (W) x 2.2cm (H) excluding bale ring
T Bar: 3.2cm
This is a quirky one-of-a-kind heirloom piece, bringing the wearer an item of jewellery as exclusive and individual as them. The perfect keepsake or gift to celebrate life's milestone occasions or just life!
