This beautiful antique Victorian/Edwardian 'fine' jewellery piece has been created using an antique 15ct gold and seed pearl swallow (formerly a brooch), set on a beautiful antique 9ct gold Etruscan fancy link Albert watch chain.  This 'old gold' necklace has a lovely soft gentle rose patina that only antique gold can afford.

The necklace fastens by way of the original Albert swivel fasteners.  I have kept the integrity of the double Albert watch chain but leaving both the Albert swivels in the design, thus allowing the necklace to be fastened centrally to the front or to the back of the neck.  At the back of neck position, I have incorporated 2 links allowing the necklace to be fastened and therefore worn at 2 different lengths (see measurements below).

Note: The necklace is at its longest neck fastening position 16 inches max, so please ensure this measurement suits your neck size.  (If it does not, please drop me a message via the Contact form/page to discuss).

Swallows were a favourite of the Victorians/Edwardians given as a love token to a sweetheart to signify returning to them.

A classically cool forever heirloom piece. Love love love it forever!!

Approximate Measurements:
Overall length of necklace when worn: 19.5 inches

This is a quirky one-of-a-kind heirloom piece, bringing the wearer an item of jewellery as exclusive and individual as them. The perfect keepsake or gift to celebrate life's milestone occasions or just life!
