Stunning Vintage Diamond and Ruby Greyhound Dog, Gold, Silver, Diamond and Ruby Necklace.
This beautiful antique/vintage 'fine' jewellery piece has been created by repurposing this stunning 'Greyhound' piece (formerly a brooch), The greyhound is in full flight mode and is beautifully crafted and set with rose cut diamonds and tiny ruby eye.
The diamonds are very 'lively' and are set in silver, to the reverse of the piece there is evidence of a light gold gilt covering which is partially worn away over time.
I have show cased this beautiful piece on an antique Victorian 9ct gold (with gentle rosy patina), chain with pretty double link ribbing detail and barrel clap closure, thus creating a unique, rare, collectable and extremely wearable piece of jewellery.
