This beautiful antique Victorian 'fine' jewellery piece has been created using a stunning antique Victorian swallow piece, crafted in 14ct gold with clever and beautiful feather detail to the wings; that catch the light when worn.  The bird has a tiny ruby cabochon eye and has a tiny seed pearl in its beak - Simply delightful! The swallow is hallmarked ML 585 (for 14ct gold), on the top of the wing. 
 
Joining the beautiful swallow; I have incorporated two pretty and delicate chain drops from the longest hangs a tiny Victorian horseshoe (previously a stick pin).  The horseshoe is embellished with tiny seed pearl and turquoise stones. 
 
The shorter chain drop  (which is a short sectio of Victorian guard chain), has a tiny puffed gold heart charm.
 
Setting the Stage:  After much consideration, I set the backdrop for these beautiful, fine and delicate elements, thus being a pretty, delicate, yet sturdy antique 9ct gold chain.  Intermittent bars lead the way down the length of the chain, solidly interconnected by pretty chain links.  The ends of the chain are nicely hallmarked for 9ct gold.  Just perfect! 
 
All in all a desirable little piece of history and character, not to mention, totally unique design and one of a kind.  Love love love her forever!!
 
Swallows were a favourite of the Victorians/Edwardians given as a love token to a sweetheart to signify returning to them.  They are getting more and more difficult (and expensive) to source.  A true forever heirloom piece of jewellery to be handed down to your children, grandchildren, or loved ones.
