This stunning 'fine' jewellery piece has been created using a fusion of lengths of antique Victorian 9ct gold guard chains, T bar and a magnificent large 'fine' 935 silver and paste snake piece (formerly a brooch).
I have used sections of two different link antique Victorian 9ct gold 'guard' chain as the backdrop and to set the stage for this spectacularly beautiful Victorian snake piece.
The necklace fastens centrally to the front, by way of an Albert swivel fastener. The chain being tantalisingly fluid to the touch with a wonderful gentle rosy 9ct gold patina; that only antique gold affords.
From the central ring hangs a chain drop with beautifully hallmarked 9ct gold T bar finial. Together with the 'trophy piece' being a jaw droopingly gorgeous antique Victorian snake. The snake is crafted in 935 'fine' silver, which has been set with sparkling paste stones. A particularly pristine example of quality.
An eclectic collectors item (such pieces are becoming more and more difficult to source). I have held onto the handsome fellow for some years, but thought it was time to let him sliver away for new adventures :)
