This beautiful antique 'fine' jewellery piece has been created using a former Victorian brooch in the form of an arrow with a central diamond embellished butterfly/bug.
The arrow has been skillfully crafted in 9ct gold with a layer of silver in which the rose cut diamonds are set. This was usual for the Victorian period. In the centre of the rose gold shaft of the arrow sits a rather gorgeous butterfly or bug. The insect has great detail and is also set with diamonds.
These antique arrow pieces are getting rarer and rarer to source and this one is particularly desirable and rare because of the coupling with the butterfly.
I have used a brand new 9ct gold trace link chain to set off this piece.
