This sweet, collectible and unique jewellery piece has been created using a fusion of antique and vintage elements.
The trophy piece being this delightful pietra dura* piece. The intricate mosaic of a pretty floral sprig with flower and buds, of which look to be a Rose, Forget Me Not and Morning Glory, all having sentiment and meaning. Carefully and skilfully set upon a backdrop of black for a delicate, yet dramatic statement. The mosaic is set within an attractive mount with silver ball edge detail and a solid silver full back.
I have attached a matching chain drop to the bottom of the piece, to which I have connected a gorgeous chunky silver antique Victorian watch chain T Bar, piece, with lovely old hallmark. This grounds and sets off the whole design beautifully.
The pretty silver fancy chain that I have used to create the backdrop for this design is 'new'. The neckace is fastened at back of neck by way of a bolt ring fastener and can be fastened at 2 different lengths (see below).
* Pietra Dura
Pietra dura (translation hardstone) refers to a Florentine mosaic technique that is descendant from the Roman opus sectile mosaic style.
Pietra dura is a term for using cut and fitted, highly polished coloured stones to create images. The stonework is glued stone-by-stone to a base after being "sliced and cut in different shape sections; and then assembled together so precisely that the contact between each section was practically invisible.
Approximate Measurements:
Neck Section Length: 18.5 inches - can also be worn/fastened at 17.5 inches
Drop: 5.7cm
T Bar: 1.5 inches / 3.8cm
A special and beautiful piece which can be worn alone or layered up with any of my other necklaces to give full impact and drama!

This is a quirky one-of-a-kind heirloom piece, bringing the wearer an item of jewellery as exclusive and individual as them. The perfect keepsake or gift to celebrate life's milestone occasions or just life!
