This stunning 'fine' jewellery piece has been created using antique and vintage jewellery elements.
I have used a fusion of 2 different link antique Victorian 9ct gold locket chains. One being a particularly pretty interlocking circles link with the added beauty of each link being faceted, which makes it twinkle (in my mind I imagined it to be the honeycomb of the bee), together with a fancy Victorian 'cats tooth' link chain. Both being a wonderful gentle aged gold.
The necklace fastens centrally to the front by way of an Albert swivel fastener. From the central ring hangs a chain drop with an Albertina Tassel finial. Together with the 'trophy piece' bee-ing a jaw droppingly gorgeous vintage 18ct gold Bee piece, set with diamonds, 2 ruby eyes and a large pearl for the body. The wings have pretty open work detail to them. The bee is stamped '750' for 18ct gold and is solid and weighty.
An eclectic collectors item (such pieces are becoming more and more difficult to source). Absolutely stunning when worn. Is sure to bee a much admired, conversational and envied piece.
