It's not very often I offer rings for sale, but this beautifully detailed c1970s vintage buckle ring I just couldn't let pass me by............
 
The ring is exceptionally well made and of a good chunky weight too. The main body of the ring is made up of 4 rows of gorgeous twisted/rope detail, all of which feed into a smooth solid square of gold at the back of the ring.
 
To the front we have this beautiful buckle formed in 18ct white gold and set with 16 twinkling diamonds. The ring also has a stunning 3D effect as the tail end of the 'belt' sits gently proud of the main band.
 
Obviously the design and inspiration for this vintage ring has been taken from the Victorian's love for 'buckle' pieces of jewellery depicted in many of their beautiful designs.
 
The buckle design in rings symbolised an unbreakable bond of friendship and love.
